On November 6, 1981, a left leg was located on the side of CR 44 in Cassia, approximately 2 miles west of Volusia County. On November 14, 1981, a right leg was found in Volusia County near the St John’s River at Turnbull Bay. Comparison of the limbs show both to be from the same person and removed in the same manner; cut from the body using a hand saw after death. It is believed the person died in early November. The remaining body was never recovered and cause of death never determined. The legs are believed to belong to a Caucasian male, approximately 30 years old, 6’ tall (approx.), with size 9.5 D foot and dark brown to black hair.
