LAKE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DETECTIVES INVESTIGATING SUSPICIOUS CASE OF MISSING MAN IN CLERMONT
Detectives with the Lake County Sheriff's Office are investigating the disappearance of a 36-year-old Clermont man after his best friend requested a well-being check on him. The friend of Michael Shaver's called the Sheriff's Office to report that neither he, nor any of Shaver's family, have heard from him since 2015. The friend requested deputies to go by Shaver's residence and attempt to confirm his well-being.
Deputies responded to Shaver's residence, located at 9850 Sandy Pines Road in Clermont, and met with his wife, Laurie Shaver. Mrs. Shaver stated she hasn't seen her husband since 2015. While at the residence, deputies were permitted to look inside the house. As the interview moved outside, Mrs. Shaver stopped cooperating and stated she would like to have her attorney.
Detectives have been diligently investigating the case and have not yet learned any information that would lead to the whereabouts of Mr. Shaver. They are seeking the public's help and are asking anyone with information concerning Michael Shaver to call the sheriff's office or Central Florida CRIMELINE at 1-800-423-TIPS, where they could be eligible for a cash reward.
