Major Todd English 

was born in Orlando, Florida and grew up in Winter Springs, FL. After graduating high school he was accepted to the University of Florida where he later graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. Todd then entered the police academy at the Santa Fe College Institute of Public Safety and after graduation in 1999 became certified to be a law enforcement officer.

Todd was hired as a deputy sheriff at the Lake County Sheriff's Office in March of 2000 and has had the opportunity to work many assignments which include Road Patrol Deputy, Tactical Team Deputy, Narcotics Detective, Field Training Officer, Road Patrol Corporal, Road Patrol Sergeant, Criminal Investigations Sergeant, Criminal Investigations Lieutenant, Uniform Patrol Bureau Captain, and Investigations Bureau Captain.

Todd is a graduate of the Saint Leo Command Officer Management Program as well as a graduate of the Florida Criminal Justice Executive Institute Senior Leadership Program. Todd is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy 288th Session, obtaining a Graduate Certificate in Criminal Justice Education from the University of Virginia. Todd serves on the Board of Directors for the North Lake Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Todd is married to his wife Keri and has two sons.
