INMATE ACCOUNTS:
When an inmate is booked into the facility, a commissary account is created for the inmate. This account can be used to order commissary items, bond themselves out or pay for miscellaneous expenses.
DEPOSITING MONEY:
There are two ways to add money to an inmate's account:
1. Lobby Kiosks - There is a kiosk machine located in the front lobby of the Detention Center that accepts cash (bills $1.00 or greater) or credit/debit cards. Fees are included $2.00 for cash and for credit/debit cards the fees will vary by card. The kiosk is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
2. Online - Using the internet, money can be deposited on an inmate's commissary account using http://www.commissarydeposit.com.
Internet Deposit Instructions:
- Log onto to http://www.commissarydeposit.com
- Click on Commissary Deposit
- Choose Florida from the drop-down box and click Next
- Choose Lake County Sheriff's Office - Jail from the drop-down box and click Next
- Enter the Booking # or last name in the appropriate box and click Next
- If you are searching by the last name you may have to choose form a list of active inmates with the same last name. Please ensure that you choose the correct inmate.
- Verify that the inmate information is correct and click Next
- Enter the amount you want to place on the inmates' account and click Next
- Approve the amount, plus the fee and click Next
- Enter your credit or debit card information and click Submit
- Print a copy of the transaction for your records
