Explorer Post 2060 - Requirements

In order to become an Explorer with the Lake County Sheriff's Office, you must meet these requirements:

Must be between the ages of 14 and 21
Must have no arrest history or criminal record
Must be a resident of Lake County
Must attend a middle or high school (or have graduated and enrolled in college)
Must maintain a 2.0 or higher GPA
Must pay a $35.00 processing fee (to cover uniforms and registration)
Must Submit to a background check and to an interview with department staff

Must Submit to an illegal narcotics screening process
